The Victoria Room Tea Salon – Level 4 (Designer Gallery), Westfield Sydney, Cnr Pitt St & Market St. https://theteasalon.com.au/
“Pretty in pink” comes to mind when you first walk past a cute little tea and cake place in the middle of the Designer Gallery in Westfield Sydney. Little did I realise that it was the Victoria Room’s new Tea Salon. The decor is beautiful, with great attention to detail – from the tea pots and tea cups to the white picket fence enclosing the whole affair. Quite a contrast to the darker, more handsome Victoria Room in Darlinghurst. I knew I had to come back here with a girlfriend to try the tea, cakes and scones.

VRTS proclaims:
Situated on Westfield Sydney’s Designer Gallery (Level 4), The Victoria Room Tea Salon is a luxury haven where fashion enthusiasts can rest their weary feet and enjoy a decadent High Tea with friends after a morning of retail therapy.
We did exactly that. After a day of intense shopping, we sat down for some indulgence. What we ordered:
- Lemon tart ($9.50): so delicious! I loved how citrusy it was without being too overpowering. The creme fraiche on the side offered a perfect balance to the tanginess of the lemon filling.
- Frangipane tart ($9.50): A prefers less sugar in her desserts and this was perfect for her, as it was understated yet extremely tasty. A nice contrast to the lemon tart.
- Chai ($5.50): was very well done, with just the right amount of spice and milk.
- Assam tea ($5.50): also lovely, a great blend.
…
the verdict: 8/10 – a beautiful way to indulge yourself after a day of shopping, albeit a little pricey.
dont forget to order: the lemon tart – exquisite!
to try next time: the scones – they have 10 different varieties!
